Prithvi Shaw: It feels really good. Winning the World Cup and making India proud means a lot for me and for everyone. This is the last match at Under-19 for us. I can’t express how I feel. We have a lot of fun memories to take away. We have been playing together for two years waiting for this World Cup. There will be emotions saying bye, but we’re happy. We don’t know if we’ll lift a senior World Cup, but we got a chance to lift this World Cup. I’m very happy.

Rahul Dravid: Really proud of the boys, of the effort that they have put in over the last 14 months. They really deserved this, I couldn’t be happier and more proud. Hopefully it’s a memory they’ll cherish for a long time, and hopefully it’s not a memory that defines them and they will have a lot more bigger and better memories as they go on ahead in their careers. Coaching this team, it’s almost embarrassing I tend to get a lot of attention, but it is really about the quality of support staff that we have had. Seven-eight of us have been together for the last 14 months and the effort they put in was incredible.

Manjot Kalra, Man of the Match in the final: Great moment for us. It was the final of the World Cup so I was a bit nervous initially, but I was OK then. Yes, it’s my best knock. It’s a World Cup final and I got a hundred and we won the game. I’ll remember this for a long time. I fell for 86 against Australia in the first match, I got a chance to go on today and I did it. The team bonding was great. We’ll miss each other after this. Hopefully we’ll meet again at the senior level.

Shubman Gill, Man of Series: There was some pressure before the semifinal against Pakistan. But Rahul sir said my role is not to slog, asked me to bat for 50 overs. The first match against Australia was the turning point for us. We had played against England earlier, we also played the Asia Cup but we hadn’t played Australia. Once we beat Australia in the first game, we knew we could beat any team. It was a great atmosphere in the dressing room.

Riyan Parag: It’s just amazing, I was thinking I wouldn’t bat and I was proved right. I just wanted Manjot to get his century. I thought it’d be a tough match. It was a tough match, but we made it look easy!

Ishan Porel: This is a lovely feeling. We have been training very hard for this, we have had these fans coming in to support us everywhere. But a world cup win is of course very special. To beat a team like Australia on a stage like this is unbelievable. It wasn’t easy to come out of the injury and play immediately, but the support staff has been very helpful. Rahul sir instilled a lot of confidence in me.

Aryan Juyal: It was a big match so, understandably, we were a bit nervous. We had the belief that we will win if we do our best, but there was an anxiety in the stomach. Celebration ka to pataah nahee, unfortunately saare Under-19 hai! (Not sure about the late-night celebrations, we are all Under-19 players).

Arshdeep Singh: Kitne bhi selfies le lu, aaj thakne wala nahee hu sir! (It doesn’t matter how many selfies I take today, I won’t get tired). This is a feeling that we will never forget in our life!

Himanshu Rana: Paagal-paagal lagg raha hai! Cricket ka to bachpan se shaukh tha lekin kabhi nahi socha tha ke World Cup hath mein pakdunga (It’s a crazy feeling! I have loved cricket since childhood, but I never though I would hold onto the World Cup one day.)
