Arjun Tendulkar has been named in the India Under-19 squad for their two four-day games against Sri Lanka. With Rahul Dravid busy with India A commitment in England, WV Raman has been named coach.

Tendulkar, a left-arm seamer, was a success in Mumbai’s Under-19 squad last year as he picked up 18 wickets in the Cooch Behar Trophy. Tendulkar, however, does not find place in the team for the five one-day matches, which will be led by Uttar Pradesh’s Aryan Juyal. India will play their matches from July 11 to August 11.

The four-day team will be led by Delhi’s wicketkeeper Anuj Rawat, who has already played three Ranji Trophy matches. He was also a part of the India Under-19 squad that took part in the Asia Cup in Malaysia last year.

Devdutt Padikkal, the Karnataka player who has been consistent in age-group reward, has also been rewarded with a place in both the squads. Apart from Tendulkar, Nehal Wadhera is the other player to have been named only in the four-day team. Similarly. Ajay Devgaud and Y Jaiswal are in the 50-over team but don’t find place in the red-ball squad.
